SBD Apparel and the International Powerlifting Federation are proud to announce a new category of IPF event, designed to showcase the stars of our sport in a high-profile event with the largest prize fund in the sport’s history.

The event is the first of its kind in the United Kingdom, bringing together 12 men and 12 women over one weekend to battle it out for world records and the title of Champion of Champions.

Each lifter represented their own nation at the World Classic Powerlifting Championships, and will now have the opportunity to defend their place among the world’s best.

Athletes from six continents will be coming together for a truly international competition, with spectators in attendance at Sheffield’s historic City Hall, minutes from SBD’s headquarters and manufacturing base. All men will compete on Saturday March 28th and all women will compete on Sunday March 29th.

Intended as a celebration of the sport and its history, the Sheffield 2020 Championship will see fierce competition and world records fall. A £250,000 prize fund will be awarded on the basis of highest total, highest IPF points and world records broken.

Three levels of VIP tickets are available but act quickly as these tickets will sell out fast.

Gold VIP tickets: This will be the ultimate experience. You will get early access to the venue and a pre-event presentation, including food and drinks, with legends from the world of powerlifting. Moving to the theatre, you will find yourself sitting in the best seats in the house amongst some of the biggest names in strength sports in the UK and beyond.

Your exclusive goodie bag and programme will be waiting for you and you will be right at the heart of the action. After the event, you will be first into the meet and greet session with the athletes with snacks and drinks laid on.

Silver VIP tickets: You will have a premium seat, front and centre. Your goodie bag and programme will be waiting for you and you will get access to the meet and greet with the athletes who have just given it their all on the platform, snacks and drinks included.
